Before the Match

Before the match, supporters gathered in a crowd shaped by blue smoke, drums and improvised noise. The two women in white at the front gave the photograph a clear point of attention, but the reason for making it was everything happening around them. People were still arriving and finding one another, yet the gathering already felt organised by a shared purpose. I wanted to keep the movement and partial visibility because they showed the experience of entering a crowd that had come to Jamor for the same reason.
