Victory in Torres Vedras

Later that night, the victory was no longer contained by the stadium. A Torreense flag rose above a tightly packed crowd moving through the centre of Torres Vedras after the club's first Portuguese Cup win. The trophy and players are outside the frame, which is what made this photograph important to me. It records how the result travelled home through the supporters themselves, turning familiar streets into part of the celebration and showing what the win meant beyond the match.
