DJ Muggs

During Cypress Hill's set, DJ Muggs appeared small against the oversized illustrated head and skull behind him. The orange lighting tied the performer and the stage design together while making their difference in scale even more apparent. I made the photograph because the visual production was doing as much to define the view as the person performing. It records the theatrical side of the set without pretending the frame is an isolated portrait or assigning importance to a particular song.
