Flyover

Four aircraft passed above the festival in formation, leaving parallel smoke trails across the overcast sky. By pointing the camera upward, I removed almost everything that identified where I was and reduced the scene to spacing, direction and movement. It works as an interlude in the series rather than a central festival event. For a short time, attention shifted away from stages and crowds towards something passing overhead, adding another detail to the experience of moving through the day.
