Taylor Momsen

Taylor Momsen stood at the front edge of the stage and pointed towards the audience during The Pretty Reckless set. I deliberately kept the raised hands in the foreground instead of trying to make an unobstructed portrait. They explain where her attention was directed and how closely the performance depended on the response in front of her. The photograph mattered as part of my record of the festival because it connects the stage to the people watching, rather than separating the performer from the crowd.
